Updating from Core 5.2.2425 to 5.2.2892 results in "Unknown column 'hasCategories' in 'field list'"

Description
We updated the core of a site running 2425 to 2892 and the updater ran fine. After the update we reloaded the app and then received this error "Unknown column 'hasCategories' in 'field list'" http://dev.mura.14theories.com
CF8 mySQL 5.1
We ran into this problem on both our development and live sites. Used a backup to restore the live site to a working copy.
Possible external factors: We have been developing a mura plugin to do full mura installation backups. We ran this backup and did a restore from the backup on both the development and live servers of this site. All seemed fine and both were working ok until trying to run the Update Core.
We migrated this site from mySQL 4.1 to 5.1 within the last week. Everything went fine and the site had been running ok after an appReload.
