lost tag style definitions in component

I have created some components for my clients that consistent of a table with background image elements that look like a border with a cast shadow; my client should be able to use these to change details on events in her site. These components are working fine except that when they are opened to edit, the background images disappear. When I go to "source" I find that all of the style definitions in the td tags are gone.  http://retreatsuite.com/default/index.cfm (right column boxes)
